Select ARMY as Your Official HOD Representation on Your AAPA Profile

Posted 1 day ago in AAPA

Dear SAPA Members,

We need your support to ensure SAPA is represented as your official selection for the House of Delegates (HOD) on your AAPA profile page. Your choice has a significant impact on shaping policies that define the values, philosophies, and principles of the PA profession.

The HOD holds sole authority to enact these policies and consists of representatives from:

  • Fifty-eight chapters across all U.S. states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and federal services.
  • Twenty-seven specialty organizations officially recognized by AAPA.
  • Thirteen caucuses with shared goals or interests in healthcare access or delivery.
  • The Student Academy, alongside current and past House officers as voting delegates.

Why Your Selection Matters

By selecting ARMY [SAPA] as your HOD representation:

  • You empower our voice in Academy activities, enabling us to:
    • Make recommendations to the AAPA Board of Directors.
    • Submit formal resolutions.
    • Participate in reference committee hearings at the AAPA Annual Conference.
    • Influence policies on key issues like innovative healthcare delivery, Medicare coverage, PA privileges, health promotion, and liability reform.

Delegate apportionment is based on the number of members who select a specific chapter or group for HOD purposes on their AAPA profiles. Let’s ensure SAPA has the strongest possible representation!
