CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - 2025 SAPA Board of Directors
The energy at SAPA 2024 Conference is palpable! SAPA continues to grow into the future. We held our second conference in San Antonio, Texas – experiencing greater numbers of membership and attendance! For the first time in more than 2 decades of SAPA history, we had the current Army Surgeon General speak at SAPA. We are thankful for the inspiration and support from LTG Mary K. Izaguirre, the 46thArmy Surgeon General. We know not everyone can make it but we do hope to see you next year.
During the General Membership meeting today, we opened nominations for the upcoming 2025 SAPA Board of Directors Elections. Yes, it is already time to start looking for candidates for the 2025 SAPA Board of Directors. This is your opportunity to influence the next group of leaders who will guide our organization in 2025!
To continue SAPA strong, we need dedicated volunteers to lead our organization.
We are calling for nominations and/or self-nominations for the upcoming elections for the 2025 Board of Directors who will serve from 1 January – 31 December 2025.
Candidates are needed for the following positions:
President-Elect
Secretary
Treasurer-Elect
Directors for each of the following: Active Duty, Reserve Component, National Guard, Retired, Federal Services Component, and Civilian Component.
Please consider self-nominating or nominating others, even if you've served on the board before. Your knowledge and experience are invaluable to the future of our organization.
How do you submit a nomination:
Nominations should be submitted to sapa.president2020@gmail.com. Include the following: Full Name, SAPA and AAPA Number, email address, primary phone number, head shot, and brief bio/campaign statement (no more than 1/2 page).
Nominations and ALL supporting information/documents must be received NLT 1 October 2024 to be included in the elections ballot. Individuals seeking to run for office must be current (and maintain) SAPA Fellow and AAPA Fellow membership.
Elections will occur between October and November once the ballot is validated and approved by the 2024 Board of Directors.
