SAPA Annual CME Conference Reminder!

Dear Esteemed PAs and SAPA Supporters,

I'm thrilled to extend a warm appreciation to each of you for your unwavering support of SAPA throughout the years. As we embrace new beginnings and welcome fresh faces into our community, I am excited to invite you all to our upcoming annual CME conference.

You spoke and we listened!  After moving our conference from Fayetteville, NC to the home of military medicine in San Antonio, Texas, your feedback showed an overwhelming support for returning to the Riverwalk! Our inaugural conference in the Alamo city last year left us inspired and eager for more.

So, mark your calendars for the 2024 SAPA Annual CME conference, taking place from August 20th to 23rd at the amazing Embassy Suites Hotel. Nestled along the scenic Riverwalk, this venue promises an exquisite setting for our gatherings, lectures, workshops, and engaging interactions with industry experts.

This year's theme, "CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF THE ARMY PA/REUNION," offers a poignant opportunity to honor the legacy of our founding members and leaders, while reconnecting with fellow Army PAs and PA classmates. It's a time for celebration, reflection, and camaraderie as we recognize the invaluable contributions of our profession to patient care and military service.

To all former students who've embarked on the journey through the Army PA training program and now IPAP – your presence would truly enrich our gathering. Let's reminisce, share experiences, and make a toast to the paths we've forged.

As a testament to our shared history and commitment, SAPA has commissioned a stirring piece of art, awaiting the signatures of all PAs at the conference. Afterwards, prints will be available for purchase.  This symbolic gesture not only commemorates our collective journey but also supports the noble cause of the SAPA scholarship program.

In addition, prepare to be inspired by our distinguished lineup of speakers, including Army Surgeon General, LTG Mary K. Izaguirre as the conference keynote speaker and our very own BG Bill Soliz. In addition, Dr. Ronald Lott, PA, PhD, will present a captivating tale of “The Untold Story of Commissioning the Army PA," offering insights into our profession's rich heritage.

You will also have the opportunity to explore thought-provoking sessions and gain valuable insights from esteemed presenters such as John Belinski, founder of the well known CME4Life!

Finally, we also welcome you to indulge in the festivities of the SAPA Banquet, featuring a memorable dinner, captivating keynote address by BG Bill Soliz, and an auction benefiting our scholarship program. Join us as we honor trailblazers who've left an indelible mark on Army medicine and the PA profession.
