**VENUE CHANGE**

Due to the high level of interest and attendance, the location for the Joint Interagency Physician Associate Training Day has been changed. The event will now take place at Blesse Hall on Fort Sam Houston. Please refer to the map below for directions to the new location. We are currently making arrangements to provide transportation to and from the venue. Further updates will be communicated as soon as they become available. Trauma Skills Lab August 20, 2025

Trauma skills lab providing participants interaction with current trauma/resuscitation PA
specialists & EM LTHET Faculty working on common procedures at the BAMC EM Skills Lab,
which executes every month during the BAMC Joint Army-Baylor EM LTHET. Procedures
include ultrasound guided central lines, chest tubes, surgical cricothyrotomy, hemorrhage
control, lateral canthotomy & cantholysis, etc. Advanced procures available depending on
student and facilitator qualifications include resuscitate thoracotomy, REBOA, cardiac wound
repair, transvenous cardiac pacing, etc. Priority of space intended to eligible and interested
LTHET applicants (Gen Surg, EM, Critical Care, etc,) though extra space allocated to any
COMPO, any service current military members.

When: 20  August  0800-1300 hrs

Where: USAF Research Lab at Lackland AFB

Cost:  no charge to participants
Transportation: facilitators will coordinate TMP vans to transport participants from conference
hotel to training site. POV/rental car authorized if available, DoDID required for access to
Lackland AFB.
Participants:  Limited to 16-20 personnel per session.
